Our experience and commitment to quality enable us to reinforce our competitiveness in the electronic customs tool market: customs procedure management software in accordance with national regulations, data transmission and archival storage via our transmission platforms (EDI). The company has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary in the service of customs operators, whether they are from the transit trade or from importing/exporting companies. We evolve in the world of dematerialisation and allow our customers to communicate with the networks of European and international customs administrations.

 

CONEX currently has 45 employees, one subsidiary in Belgium and another in Switzerland, as well as a sales office in Shanghai.

 

CONEX has a presence in the main international fora (UN CEFACT, IATA, WCO, EU TAXUD) and contributes to the implementation of normative projects in the field of EDI data models.

Role Summary

As part of CONEX SA expansion in the UK market, we have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Business Development professional.

The role is key to our strategic vision and would report directly to the Country Director


About the Person  


You are strategically minded with the ability to detect and develop opportunities through understanding customer needs and monitoring competitor activities.

Customer satisfaction is part of your DNA and you are passionate about creating value through something other than price.

You are comfortable with representing the organisation within professional bodies and your excellent communications skills allow you to network with ease.

Above all you are a goal orientated team player with the ability to work independently.


Responsibilities:

  • Collect strategic information
  • Monitor industry drivers and competitor landscape
  • Actively contribute to innovation in the dematerialisation of data exchange landscape
  • Represent organisation at professional bodies
  • Build long-term relationships with current customers and prospects
  • Increase the turnover of existing accounts by offering new products and services, spotting opportunities in the market and further developing them into commercial products.
  • Create and maintain a territory plan to achieve revenue targets
  • Create and maintain clear pipeline on corporate CRM system
  • Responsible for the entire sales process from requirements analysis to tender preparation to the conclusion of the contract
  • Value-based approach to selling solutions: works with internal resources to produce a high relevant, compelling and differentiated value proposition
  • Maintains a professional and ethical relationship with internal employees, partners, customers, prospects and all external relationships

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 5 years of experience in business-to-business sales in a relevant field 
  • Knowledge of customs related handling and procedures, international trade and logistics preferred  
  • Experience of working with CRM systems
  • Excellent English written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Additional languages a definite plus
  • Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration/ International Trade / Supply Chain Management or similar
  • Extensive travel required
  • An existing network a definite plus

Helpdesk - Customer Support

Role Summary

As part of CONEX expansion in the UK market, you have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic team. You will be providing first line customer support for customs clearance.


About the Person

You enjoy working in a dynamic multicultural team environment, proving excellent customer service. You have an excellent telephone manner and are able to communicate fluently in English and French.

 

Responsibilities

  • Utilize ticketing system to resolve client issues in relation to timely filling of customs documentation via CONEX applications
  • Answer and dispatch first line support inquiries within agreed Service Level Agreements
  • Troubleshoot application issues reported by customers
  • Provide training to clients in relation to application usage

Required Skills and Experience

  • Customer service orientated and solution driven
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Fast learner
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Excellent English and French written and verbal communication skills. Additional languages a definite plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree/ Relevant practical experience
