        TOWARDS A NEW TOTALLY DEMATERIALISED SYSTEM<\/h2>\n

        \u2666 <\/span>Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is switching to a new system for totally dematerialised electronic customs declarations, and in so doing the United Kingdom will be giving up its CHIEF (Customs Handing of Imp\/Exp. Freight) system for CDS (Customs Declaration Service).<\/p>\n

         <\/p>\n

        \u2666<\/span> <\/span>This will bring technical modifications (like the transition to DELTA in France in 2007), and regulatory changes: alignment with the Union Customs Code (UCC).<\/p>\n
