The move to SaaS in 2023 was a key driver in supporting the transition to Delta IE, by securing data flows and facilitating adaptation to new regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cChoosing CONEX has enabled us to anticipate major changes in customs procedures, particularly with Delta IE. Today, we have a stable, reliable and fully operational environment,\u201d explains Mikael Guillaumaux, customs lead at the MEDIACO VRAC Group.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ZEN_a_practical_response_to_the_complexity_of_excise_duties\"><\/span>ZEN: a practical response to the complexity of excise duties<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In October 2025, MEDIACO VRAC launched a new pilot project centred on the ZEN platform, rolled out across the Mediaco Logistique Normandie division (Le Havre and Fos-sur-Mer), with a focus on excise goods movements, which account for a significant proportion of the business.<\/p>\n<p>For example, 10,600 pages of documentation were processed in March 2026 for the 1,200 monthly declarations at the Fos branch alone. The automation of data entry tasks represents a significant time saving in a particularly complex regulatory environment, characterised by successive changes.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWith ZEN and CONEX\u2019s AI-based tools, we were able to absorb a very restrictive regulatory transition regarding excise. The tool allows us to process large volumes of documentation while ensuring compliance between the declaration and the EAD. Without this type of AI, it would have been extremely long and complex,\u201d highlights Mikael Guillaumaux, customs lead at the MEDIACO VRAC Group.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Beyond the productivity gain, ZEN repositions the declarant on their core business: regulatory analysis and risk management.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"ALBA_expert_assistance_for_atypical_flows\"><\/span>ALBA: expert assistance for atypical flows<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>In parallel, MEDIACO VRAC relies on ALBA, the tariff classification conversational agent developed by CONEX, for its most atypical operations. Particularly useful for non-recurring &#8216;general cargo&#8217; flows and &#8216;spot&#8217; projects, ALBA helps to secure classifications.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cOn atypical or non-standardised files, ALBA brings us speed and reassurance. It allows declarants to make their nomenclature choices more reliable while saving time,\u201d specifies Mikael Guillaumaux.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Designed as an integrated business assistant, ALBA achieves a high level of reliability thanks to its continuously enriched regulatory foundation.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTariff classification is one of the most sensitive subjects in customs clearance. An error can have significant financial, regulatory or operational consequences.
