The year 2019 is coming to a close, and looking back, it has not spared us in commercial tensions and turnarounds by our countries’ leaders with regards to the international trade in goods. Not to mention the many months of memorable twists and turns on the chaotic road to a Member State’s exit from the European Union.
From all this, we have made it our job, just like you; we have adapted and adjusted our responses to the many changes. As 2020 is already here, we are ready for the first hurdle to be faced by customs declarants: BREXIT.
Happy New Year and our very best wishes from our entire team.

BREXIT, first successful test run!
CONEX is proud to have collaborated with one of its customers using the DELTApass via conex™ software and the DGDDI (French Directorate General for Customs and Indirect Taxes) in the success of the first fully operation Smart Border test run. The test was organised on Thursday 12 September in the presence of Minister Gérald DARMANIN at the port of Ouistreham. The first full-scale No Deal BREXIT tests were carried out successfully. Prior to these operational test runs, CONEX, in collaboration with the French Customs services had tested the pre-lodged customs clearance operations in the framework of the Smart Border along with its interconnection with the new customs teleservice, SI BREXIT. The tests performed made it possible to check from start to finish the right coordination of actions of the SI BREXIT with all stakeholders concerned.
